Kaspersky users may have witnessed an error message”Error connecting to proxy server” while running a manual update.

Here is a workaround for this issue
1.Uncheck Kaspersky NDIS filter option in Internet connection properties

2.Check your proxy settings in Kaspersky
3.Change update options from manual to automatic and run an update.
4.Check to see if you’re behind a proxy
For KIS 2010,
-Enter kaspersky settings page and click on My update center
-Click on settings tab
-Click on settings tab under Run Mode.Update settings dialog box pops up.
-Click on source tab in update settings and select proxy server.
-Proxy settings dialog box will pop up.Uncheck”Use proxy server” and click ok
Try running kaspersky update and see if it works
5.Download updates from Kaspersky Technical Support or follow Kaspersky on Twitter
